We are blessed to come from a long line of strong, intelligent, and kind individuals. Our values, forged in quiet conversations during times of heartbreak – in ICU waiting rooms, funeral homes, police stations, and nursing homes – have been passed down through generations. We’ve navigated societal shifts and animated debates through Civil Wars, World Wars, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, assassinations, recessions, droughts, and terrorist attacks. We are survivors of divorce, domestic violence, war, flood, fire, famine, The Great Depression, polio, smallpox, and global pandemics. Though we've lost many, their wisdom lives on, a fundamental part of our DNA.
